Mobility and Navigation
Autonomous mobility is an important component of future-oriented transport and logistics systems. This applies not only to road transport, but also to many other sectors such as inland shipping, maritime transport, mining, construction, etc. The multiple challenges to implement this autonomous mobility require research especially in the field of intelligent navigation and control systems.
The Mobility and Navigation Department is researching solutions for these systems in various application areas.
The condition for the implementation of vehicle control and trajectory planning/following control in the Mobility group is the robust integral localization methods developed in the Navigation group.
