Focus of work
The research carried out at the IRT is influenced by the belonging to the faculty of mechanical engineering and the orientation towards the application of theoretical methods. The collaboration with technologically oriented university institutes as well as manufacturers and users of controlled machines and facilities is equally being reflected in our research projects. Most of these projects are application-oriented; other more theoretically oriented projects were inspired by experiences during the application of theoretical methods.
Our research projects can be grouped in methods and applications. The following table gives an overview. This representation does not differentiate between different sources of funding.
|Model-based predicitive control||Automotive|
|Non-linear control||Energy / process engineering|
|Identification of dynamic systems||Production / manufacturing engineering|
|Analysis and synthesis of discrete controlled systems||Automation|
|Simulation of dynamic systems
